The island of Skopelos is lying between
the islands of Skiathos and Alonissos, forming, with Skyros,
the archipelago of the Sporades.
Like the rest of the group, Skopelos is very green, full of
pine forests, vineyards, olive groves and plum, pear and almond
trees.
Skopelos is less commercialised than Skiathos and, despite
its important tourism, it has kept its authentic atmosphere.
The capital of the island is particularly attractive with
its narrow alleys and its beautiful houses with red tiled
roofs and balconies. |
